Simon Cowell turns down Susan Boyle's cousin Kerry Anne on 'Britain's Got Talent'

kerry-anne-boyle-britains-got-talent.jpg Susan Boyle's second cousin Kerry Anne Boyle auditioned for the current season of "Britain's Got Talent" recently and while judges Piers and Amanda said yes, "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell said no. Who do you think was right?

Kerry explains to the camera that her grandfather and Susan Boyle's dad are brothers, which does in fact make Kerry and Susan second cousins. Susan was the Scottish singing sensation from last season on "Britain's Got Talent," wowing the judges with her phenomenal "I Dreamed a Dream" audition. Kerry Anne auditions with Sting's "Fields of Gold" for the BGT judges and we think she sounds pretty good. She's a completely different type of singer than SuBo, but KeBo can hold her own.

Unfortunately, Simon Cowell disagrees, saying that if there weren't the Susan Boyle connection, there would be no interest in Kerry Anne. But Piers and Amanda think she stands on her own as a good singer and they put her through.

What do you think? Is Kerry the next Susan Boyle? Probably not, but how about 81-year-old Janey Cutler from Scotland? She might be.

The U.S. version "America's Got Talent" premieres Tuesday, June 1 with new judge Howie Mandel. Are you getting excited?
