Did you hear the rumor about Simon Pegg playing "Ant-Man" in the upcoming comic book adaptation written and directed by his friend, Edgar Wright? If you did, it's because Pegg unknowingly started it himself.
It looks like Pegg stopped by the Marvel Comics offices, while out promoting his new movie "The World's End," when he took a photo next to a drawing of the character. From there, the internet drew its own conclusions and suddenly Pegg was starring in "Ant-Man."
He's not, though. He quickly cleared the air with a tweet reading, "FFS the Internet, all I did was point at the central character in my dear friend's next movie, because I'm excited for him." He followed that with another tweet, "I am however going to play Antnan, a film about the adventures of a tiny grandmother. #iamantnan"
It's a joke, sure, but that would be a funny movie.
