Snooki slapped with a $7 million lawsuit
According to the New York Post, "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was working with SRG Ventures to launch a ton of Snooki-related items last year. In October, filed suit to end her contract, saying it didn't fulfill it's obligation to get her enough money or branding partnerships. SRG has now filed a $7 million counterclaim and her management company, Neon Entertainment saying that Snooki sabotaged the deal by doing a little negotiating of her own with brands without SRG's knowledge.
The suit also claims that she worked too slowly on the branding they did give her, like Snooki school supplies, watches, lingerie (oh dear) and shoes. A Snooki rep told the Post, "Ms. Polizzi disputes SRG's version of the facts and looks forward to her day in court." So sad. We were looking forward to grabbing a bottle of that Snooki-brand self-tanner.
