'Snooki's pregnant, not dead,' says 'Jersey Shore's' Sally Ann Salsano
Of course, the first question on everyone's mind was, "Umm, really?," quickly followed by, "How will this affect 'Jersey Shore'" -- a show that revolves around drinking, partying and generally doing things that are not usually considered part of a healthy pregnancy regimen.
Zap2it thought Sally Ann Salsano, the show's creator, might have some insight. So we asked.
"She's pregnant, not dead," Salsano tells Zap2it. "You can still have a good time."
"People keep asking me 'What are you doing to do? How are you going to get around this?' We're not 'Friends' -- we can't have [Snooki] hide behind a big purse and pretend it didn't happen. It's a reality show -- you follow what happens in their lives."
But surely, we asked, she can't be out partying at Karma until 4 a.m. with a bun in the oven.
"This can be like her last hurrah," she adds. "Everyone takes that last vacation before the kids. So this is essentially Snooki's last summer at the shore without a baby."
Salsano declined to comment on the recent news that Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino checked into rehab.
