Sofia Vergara's 'SNL' monologue: It's okay to stare at her chest

sofia-vergara-photos-snl-pictures-video-legs-modern-family-son "Modern Family" co-star Sofia Vergara took the stage on Saturday (April 7) to host "Saturday Night Live" for the first time and -- as expected -- she made an impact.

Vergara took the stage for her monologue in a skin tight black strapless mini-dress that barely contained her... enthusiasm.

"This country welcomed me with open arms and pulled down pants," quips Vergara in a monologue mostly about her Colombian roots, move to America and unmistakable good looks. Though she also got in some good-natured digs at her "Modern Family" cast mates.

"Growing up in Colombia, it was every girl's dream to grow up and marry Al Bundy," says Vergara, referring to her on-screen husband, Ed O'Neill. Though she also ribbed herself about her accent, saying it could make anything sound sexy. Words like "gonorrhea," "Rick Santorum" and "New Jersey." Not 100 percent convinced, btw.

"So," she concludes, "Forgive me if you can not understand what I say and I will forgive you for staring at my chest all night."

"Modern Family" co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson also tagged along and posted this backstage pic along with the caption, "So proud!"
