After being absent for two episodes, Bobby ( Mark Boone Junior) is finally returning to "Sons of Anarchy" and he's coming face to face with Jax ( Charlie Hunnam) when he does. All it took to make this miracle happen was a bomb in the clubhouse.
The next episode, "Salvage," is an important one for the show as it determines the trajectory the club will be on following the complete destruction of their home in Charming. Not only do the Sons need to address the fact that the Irish tried to kill them all, there's also the matter of law enforcement and the safety of the other charters.
One of the big questions is what the bombing will mean for Bobby's attempt to create a nomad chapter. The club has never been in more peril and their numbers are dwindling. With Bobby ready to hit the road, that would leave SAMCRO down one more brother. The president and his former second in command need to find their peace. With all of the trouble the club has from outside forces, they need to get their in-house affairs in order. Whether that will actually happen remains to be seen, though.
Luckily, it's not all serious business. After a run of very sad episodes, there's a little bit of levity when SAMCRO gets hassled by some local police while on the road and a bit of fun ensues, courtesy of Juice ( Theo Rossi). It brings a nice dose of action and humor to a dark time in the story.
"Sons of Anarchy" also delivers another familiar face, returning to Charming. After Darby popped up in "Wolfsangel," it's nice to see characters come back to the show, even if it's only for an episode or two.
"Salvage" airs Tuesday, October 15, at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
