"Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam may have the next chapter of his career already mapped out. With the FX series coming to an end after Season 7, Hunnam is poised to play one of literature's most iconic characters.

Deadline reports the actor is in final negotiations to play King Arthur in director Guy Ritchie's epic take on the classic story, which Warner Bros. wants to tell over six movies. Add in Guillermo del Toro's intention to work with Hunnam again in "Pacific Rim 2," and he's going to be a very busy actor over the next few years.

The script for the project was written by Joby Harold, with Hunnam's "Pacific Rim" co-star Idris Elba also attached to star. The final season of "Sons of Anarchy" premieres Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
