sons-of-anarchy-season-six-premiere-6-fx.jpgWhen "Sons of Anarchy" returns for its sixth season on September 10, a regular one hour episode just will not be able to contain all the story that needs to be told. Luckily, FX has come to the rescue, announcing the premiere episode will run 90 minutes.

When the show ended season five, Jax ( Charlie Hunnam) and Tig ( Kim Coates) had framed Clay ( Ron Perlman) for the death of Damon Pope ( Harold Perrineau). According to Perlman, this situation leaves Clay in an entirely new place, with nothing left to lose.

Additionally, Tara ( Maggie Siff) was arrested for conspiracy to commit murder, a definitely fall from grace for the former surgeon. While Jax should feel some sense of responsibility for her life of chaos, Hunnam says the character is too wrapped up in his sense of betrayal to see anything else.

Season six of the show will run 13 episodes, Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
