'South Park' parodies 'Game of Thrones' again with visit to George R.R. MartinAdd to Favorites | Game of Thrones
A hilarious clip from the episode, above, shows Butters show up at author George R.R. Martin's house to try to find out "what happens with the dragons show up" on "Game of Thrones." In recent weeks, Martin has commented in interviews that he hates it when situations like this happen, so it's no wonder that Butters gets turned away at his door in the episode.
The "Game of Thrones" references didn't stop with the episode title (a parody on the series' name "A Song of Ice and Fire") and this clip. In one scene, Martin decides to change his pizza order from two to five pizzas as a nod to his actual tendency to keep extending the length of the "Game of Thrones" book series.
Meanwhile, Tom and Tammy Thompson have a very Jaime and Cersei Lannister-esque incestuous relationship, and the shoppers at Black Friday look a whole lot like the White Walker army at the end of "Game of thrones Season 2." The episode also included references to other nerdy fan-favorites like "The Legend of Zelda," "Sailor Moon" and "A Clockwork Orange."
