We're very pleased to report that you are going to get your fill of Roman intrigue, politics, blood, guts, nakedness and the word "absent." "Spartacus" has been renewed for a third season.

Spartacus-cropped.jpgThe announcement comes before the second season has even premiered! In a press release, Starz Media Managing Director Carmi Zlotnik said, There is no denying the impact that "Spartacus has had in the marketplace with fans across the globe thirsting for the continuation of the epic take. "Vengeance" brings unparalleled action and drama to Starz viewers in January. We are thrilled to come to an early agreement that allows the writers and talent to get right back to work in preparing for Season 3."

As you know, Liam McIntyre will be taking over the role of Spartacus after the sad death of Andy Whitfield from cancer at the age of 39 earlier this year.

"Spartacus: Vengeance" will premiere January 27th, 2012 on Starz.
