'Spider-Man' picture: Andrew Garfield flashes web-shooters, casts a skinny shadow

spider-man-web-sling.jpgThere's an awful lot of excitement for the upcoming reboot of the "Spider-Man" film franchise, directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield. So now that we have another picture, we have even more analysis.

MTV News ( via Movieline) posts the latest set photo with closer examination of the anatomy of the new Spidey costume. And among the new details (look at that mask!), one of the metallic web-shooters is now fully in view.

These little machines seem to make it very clear that the web-shooting in the new version will be of some artificial concoction (à la the comic book) and not a mutation-generated emission (as in the Tobey McGuire version)

Also? We're sort of loving how well this iteration of "Spider-Man" will be able to play up the nerdier aspects of Peter Parker. Just look at Garfield's skinny shadow.
