"Easy A" and "Zombieland" star Emma Stone will likely land the role of girl next door Mary Jane Watson for Sony Picture's reboot of the "Spider-Man" franchise opposite Andrew Garfield, reports Deadline.

Stone, 21, could fit the bill. She already looks good with reddish-auburn hair and has that kind of spunky attitude that will keep up with a fledgling angsty superhero.

We had previously reported that "Glee" star Dianna Agron might be up to play Gwen Stacy, but a few other names are still being considered as well.

In the most recent "Spider-Man" franchise, Tobey Maguire played Parker/Spidey, Kirsten Dunst was MJ and Bryce Dallas Howard played a platinum blonde Gwen.
