Spike Jonze's 'Her' trailer: Joaquin Phoenix falls for computerized Scarlett Johansson
Just like in his fantastic 2010 short film "I'm Here," Spike Jonze is telling a story of love and technology in a modern world in "Her." This time his film follows Joaquin Phoenix's character Theodore, a socially removed man who falls for his artificially intelligent computer operating system Samantha, who is voiced by Scarlett Johansson.
"Her" is a different type of love story than we've seen before, but that's what makes it all the more special and exciting. Johasson seems like she'll give a fantastic performance even though we (seemingly) never see her, while Phoenix looks like he thrives in this soft, heartfelt role. These two seem to have a great chemistry, and their relationship is one we can't wait to explore.
Also starring in this film are Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde and Chris Pratt. It's due in theaters on Nov. 20.
