Stana Katic on 'CBGB,' 'Castle' Season 6 and Nathan Fillion in 'Monsters University'
Katic spoke to Zap2it on the red carpet at the world premiere of "The Lone Ranger" at Disney California Adventure. "My character ... is a rock producer, and an amazing singer as well," says Katic. "[The film] covers the story of CBGB from the late 70s to early 80s, and there's a phenomenal cast. We have The Ramones featured, Iggy Pop, Blondie, a lot of really great rock bands."
Katic joins an all-star ensemble that features Malin Ackerman as Blondie front woman Debbie Harry, Ashley Greene as CBGBG owner Hilly Kristal's daughter, Johnny Galecki as openly gay record producer Terry Ork and Rupert Grint as rock guitarist Cheetah Chrome.
Katic and her "Castle" co-star Nathan Fillion left fans on pins and needles with a surprise proposal during the Season 5 finale, but Katic says it only makes sense to her. "I think they've been through a lot over the years," she says of Castle and Beckett. "And so it's justified in so many ways. Like, if they don't know by now that they're in love with each other, I think that we've missed the boat." Katic won't give any hints as to whether Beckett will accept Castle's proposal, but surely they won't do a long distance engagement, right? "Yeah, I don't know who's gonna move," she says. "I don't know."
In the meantime, the two aren't keeping that close of tabs on each other in real life. Fillion has a blockbuster film "Monsters University" in theaters now, but Katic hasn't even seen it yet. "That's terrible," she says, "but no, I haven't."
