Two new posters have popped up for "Star Trek Into Darkness," connected to the movie's IMAX release. The first is a print by artist Mark Englert. It features the U.S.S. Enterprise and is part of a new program from the theater chain.
It was already announced that IMAX was retiring it's "12:01" program with the release of "Iron Man 3," which will give attendees of midnight screenings a free, exclusive poster. In its place is the new "FANFIX" program. Instead of alternate posters, fans attending the earliest IMAX screenings of some of the biggest movie releases will receive limited edition prints.
The "Star Trek Into Darkness" print is a collaboration between Paramount Pictures, Bad Robot, and Gallery 1988, a Los Angeles art gallery.
he second poster features the Enterprise being pursued by a Deadnought-class warship and promotes the IMAX 3D release of the movie. "Star Trek Into Darkness" stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana and Benedict Cumberbatch. It arrives on IMAX screens on May 15, before opening nationwide May 17.
