It's finally happened. The cast of "Star Wars: Episode VII" has been announced. There are some very familiar faces in the crowd, including original trilogy stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker.
New additions to the cast include "Girls" star Adam Driver, John Boyega ( "24: Live Another Day"), Andy Serkis, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson and Max Von Sydow. "It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again," director J.J. Abrams says in a release. "We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."
None of the new characters have been revealed, but at the very least fans know Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2D2 will, in fact, appear in the new "Star Wars" movie. "Star Wars: Episode VII" hits theaters December 18, 2015.
