Starbucks logo changes, your latte remains overpriced
Okay, actually, your coffee will be exactly the same, but the cup it comes in will be tweaked a little. You probably won't even notice it until halfway through that Grande, when the caffeine makes your brain work again, because the changes aren't particularly drastic.
The "sea maiden" who has always appeared on Starbucks logos will remain, but she'll no longer be sullied with words and lettering around her. Basically, Starbucks has become so huge and all-encompassing that they don't need to actually write "Starbucks Coffee" on their cups anymore - the sea lady speaks for herself.
The new cup will begin appearing in stores in March, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the first Starbucks. No word yet on how this will impact those red cups that roll out over the holidays. We'll keep you posted, though, as we're sure you're on the edge of your seat.
