The "Conan the Barbarian" reboot role goes to Jason Momoa of "Stargate: Atlantis" fame, reports Variety.

The character written by Robert E. Howard was first popularized on the big screen by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Momoa, 30, is best known as Ronon Dex on "Stargate: Atlantis" and has been cast in the HBO adaptation of the popular "Game of Thrones" books.

Marcus Nispel directs. Production is slated to start in March in Bulgaria.

Happy with the end result or would you have preferred Kellan Lutz?
