Starz has ordered 20 episodes of "Blunt Talk," a comedy series starring Patrick Stewart, created by "Bored to Death's" Jonathan Ames and executive produced by Seth MacFarlane ( "Family Guy").
"Blunt Talk" follows Walter Blunt (Stewart), a British man who wants to conquer cable news in America. The series will deal with Blunt's network bosses, ex-wives, kids and co-workers, with only his alcoholic manservant at his side.
"In the character of Walter Blunt, Seth, Jonathan and Patrick have found the alchemy that makes a borderline alcoholic, mad-genius-Brit the man you want fighting in America's corner," Starz CEO Chris Albrecht says in a release. "Seth and Jonathan have struck the right balance between biting wit and outright absurdity in building this world, and we cannot wait for Patrick to breathe life into Walter."
"Blunt Talk" is set to air in 2015 on Starz. It's the channel's first attempt at a comedy series since it canceled "Party Down" in 2010.
