Stephenie Meyer is 'so over' 'The Twilight Saga': 'It's not a happy place to be'
With almost nine months having passed since "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" hit theaters, Stephenie Meyer's days with the franchise are pretty far behind her. According to her, that's the way she prefers it.
"I get further away every day. I am so over it. For me, it's not a happy place to be," Meyer tells Variety while promoting the new movie she produced, "Austenland."
Even with that pretty negative comment, she's not closing the door to returning to the franchise. "What I would probably do is three paragraphs on my blog saying which of the characters died," she says. "I'm interested in spending time in other worlds, like Middle-Earth."
When she's not producing or being a normal mom, Meyer is writing -- or at least trying to figure out what to write. "I'm kind of decompressing and figuring that out," she says of her next book.
"Austenland" hits theaters on Aug. 16.
