Steve Carell will soon be returning to the small screen. After saying goodbye to "The Office" in 2011, he is now developing a new comedy at TBS.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Carell and his wife Nancy Carell are writing and executive producing a new pilot called "Tribeca." The single-camera comedy is described as a "satirical look at a police procedural."

"The single-camera comedy explores an eccentric but brilliant group of people who investigate crime, reveal way too much personal information, and refuse to rest until justice has been served ... sort of," THR writes. "These dedicated men and women are more than counter-intuitive; they are non-intuitive."

Carell is planning to direct the pilot, though it's unclear if he'll star in the show as well. The central character is named Angie Tribeca, who is a 10-year veteran of the Really Heinous Crimes Unit (RHCU) of the LAPD. Are you intrigued by this new project?
