Steven Seagal wants to run for Arizona governor
The movie actor, martial-arts expert and reality star said that he was considering a run to lead Arizona when talking to that state's ABC15 news. Apparently, Seagal had already talked to Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio -- well-known for his stringent border-control measures -- about the possibility.
Seagal's interest in public office came up when discussing his upcoming reality series, "Steven Seagal -- Lawman: Maricopa County." In the series, Seagal rides along and assists law enforcement during investigations and arrests.
While most of the star's positions on issues are unknown, Seagal has stated that he considers border issues to be of paramount importance to the United States.
