mary-kay-place-suburgatory-gi.jpgIt appears that Sheila and Lisa Shay don't have a monopoly on mother-daughter conflict on "Suburgatory."

The ABC comedy will introduce Sheila's ( Ana Gasteyer) mother later this season, and you'll see that Sheila has just as many issues with her as Lisa ( Allie Grant) does with Sheila.

The source of Sheila's anguish is Emmy winner Mary Kay Place (late of "Big Love"), Zap2it can exclusively reveal. Place will appear in an episode set for February, when Lisa's "Gam Gam" arrives in Chatswin and throws a wrench into Sheila's Valentine's Day plans.

Gam Gam is described as a "brash bon vivant" -- i.e., the opposite of the uptight, appearance-obsessed Sheila. She disapproves of most of the decisions Sheila has made in her life, with one big exception: She's a big fan of Fred's ( Chris Parnell). Maybe a little too big.

What do you think of the casting? Pretty good resemblance there, wouldn't you say?
