Sundance 2011: Elizabeth Olsen already earning Oscar Buzz, Banderas pic could be out soon

Undisputed darling of this year's film festival, Elizabeth Olsen, has much more than the thriller "Silent House" to be proud of. Her other Sundance outing, Sean Durkin's "Martha, Marcy May, Marlene," has already earned her Oscar buzz for 2012. She stars in the film as a cult escapee struggling with her deprogramming, alongside Sarah Paulson. [ Movieline]

Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have snatched up the much-buzzed financial thriller "Margin Call." The film follows the unseemly activities at an investment firm on the verge of collapse just before the 2008 financial crisis and boasts an cast including Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Demi Moore, Stanley Tucci and Zachary Quinto. The Antonio Banderas thriller "The Big Bang" has been acquired by Anchor Bay Films. They plan to release the film in the second quarter of 2011, over two years after Banderas originally signed on. [ Deadline]

"Like Crazy" is one of the ones to watch at Sundance 2011, but those who've watched it are finding it awfully similar to Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling's recent indie darling "Blue Valentine" -- only without the graphic sex scenes. Comparisons have only been good for it though, because Paramount bought distribution rights for $4 million. [ Vulture]
