'Supernatural' goes super-meta: Are you looking forward to it?

cw-jensen-jared.jpg "Supernatural" has blurred the line between fiction and reality reality before, most notably in episodes like "The Monster at the End of This Book," which briefly explored the show's online fandom, and in "The Real Ghostbusters," which saw Sam and Dean at a fan convention similar to the ones at which the show's stars frequently appear.

In the upcoming episode "The French Mistake," the show takes meta to a whole new height. The CW recently released the following episode description for the episode, which is expected to air on Friday, Feb. 25:

SAM AND DEAN ARE TRANSPORTED TO AN ALTERNATE REALITY -- Raphael launches an attack on Castiel and his allies, sending a particularly frightening angelic hitman after Balthazar, Sam and Dean. In an effort to protect the brothers, Balthazar sends them to an alternate universe where they are the stars of a TV show called "Supernatural" and they are actors named "Jensen Ackles" and "Jared Padalecki." The brothers are confused when Castiel appears to be a tweet-happy actor named Misha Collins and Sam is married to Ruby.

Yes, Raphael has found himself a new "meat suit," as the show so eloquently describes vessels - this time he's going to look an awful lot like guest star Lanette Ware. Gotta love a guy who isn't afraid to step into a woman's shoes, right?

As previously reported, Jared Padalecki's real life wife Genevieve Cortese will be reprising her role as Ruby ( only, not really). We're psyched to hear that the show will poke fun at Misha Collins' considerable Twitter presence, and we can't wait to see how the fictional versions of "Jared Padalecki" and " Jensen Ackles" compare to their real-life counterparts.

Are you looking forward to the meta episode? How do you think Sam and Dean will react to their new circumstances? (Hey, these guys put Lucifer in a cage. We're pretty sure they can handle Misha Collins and his Twitpics.)
