Do the words puppy love and Dean Winchester sound odd together in the same sentence? They sure do, but get used to seeing them: "Supernatural" Season 9 will introduce a character from Dean's (Jensen Ackles) past that shares a sappy connection with the hardened hunter.

In an upcoming episode, viewers will get to meet Robin, an attractive waitress at a diner she inherited from her father, E! Online reports. And how does Robin know Dean? Two decades ago, she shared a "sweet puppy love-style romance" with him.

Though that doesn't sound like the Dean we know now, that certainly could have been the case 20 years ago. But since she's popping back up in Dean's life in the present, that doesn't bode too well for her -- something bad is probably coming her way with which she needs Dean's help.

In other "Supernatural" Season 9 news, get ready for the return of geek goddess Felicia Day. Her fan-favorite recurring character, lesbian hacker Charlie Bradbury, will be back for an episode, and Day finished filming that episode on Friday (Aug. 23).

"Supernatural" returns on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
