'Supernatural's' Jim Beaver returns to 'Justified': What does this mean for Bobby?

jim-beaver-deadwood.jpg"Supernatural" fans are anxiously awaiting the show's post-holiday return on January 6 to find out whether or not Bobby actually kicked the bucket -- but it appears that Jim Beaver is already moving on.

"Just booked a new arc on 'Justified.' Could be as many as 7 episodes, maybe more. Same character as last time," Beaver tweeted on Dec. 8.

Zap2it confirms that Beaver has been booked for episode 307 and 309, with an option to expand the role in a multi-episode arc.

Beaver, who worked with "Justified" star Timothy Olyphant on "Deadwood" as well, previously appeared in the Season 2 episode "Cottonmouth." His character, Shelby, is a mine manager who narrowly escaped death after getting caught in a heist.

Beaver has appeared on many series during his run on "Supernatural," including "Breaking Bad," "The Mentalist," and a major "Harper's Island" role -- so the fact that he's working elsewhere doesn't necessarily speak to Bobby's condition on the show.

Sources tell us that fans may not get an easy answer to the fall cliffhanger, which left us wondering whether Bobby's spirit would "cross over" or stick around to haunt the Winchesters... we'll just have to cross our fingers and wait it out. For our sakes, we hope to get a ghostly return appearance from Beaver sooner rather than later -- but for Bobby's sake, we think he's earned his rest-in-peace.

In the meantime, Season 3 of "Justified" premieres on Jan. 17 at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
