'Survivor: Caramoan's' Sherri Biethman was surprised the jury was as mean as they were towards herAdd to Favorites | Survivor: Caramoan -- Fans vs. Favorites
Are you glad you went on "Survivor"? Was it everything you hoped it would be?
"Yes, absolutely. I loved being on 'Survivor.' I wouldn't change it for the world. I got to experience something that very few people can ever say they did and i made it to the end. I'm very happy I did it. I'm very happy. "
It seemed like several of the jury members were kind of mean to you during the final Tribal Council. Did it feel that way to you?
"Kind of? [ laughs] ... They were very mean to me at the end. I wasn't surprised at all. I knew going in to the jury that they were going to be harsh, but I didn't think they would dismiss me the way they did and not respect me enough to at least ask questions and try to give me a chance to defend myself. It hurt. Absolutely it hurt.
To go 39 days and not be respected, it hurt a lot, sure. I didn't understand why they were so bitter. I couldn't figure out why they couldn't figure out just because I outwitted them that they couldn't respect that, give me a little bit of respect ... I would hope if I was sitting on the other side and I was on the jury, I wouldn't have behaved that way. I was surprised they were as mean as they were, in the few questions they did ask me."
Did you feel like you had a good case for why you should win?
"I felt like I could have made a stronger case. I was the last Fan standing, I was very strong pre-merge. I was running the show over at the Gota tribe, I was calling the shots. They were acting like I did nothing, Eddie and Reynold were, at the beginning of the game, talking like I was carried to the end, but they were so afraid of me on the other side, they wanted to vote me out constantly ... I'm the 40-year-old woman who can't win challenges, so why does [Reynold] want to get rid of me so bad if I'm not a threat? I think he knew strategically I was outwitting him every time."
Was it surprising that Cochran won in a unanimous vote?
"No. After the questions were being asked, no, I wasn't surprised. Going into the jury, I honestly thought Dawn had a good shot of winning the game. But as the questions were being asked, I knew it was going to be a sweep for Cochran."
Would you go back on the show if you were asked?
"I don't know. Parts of me want to go back and play, which is insane because it takes so much out of you. It takes lots of healing to get to this place. Lots of phone calls. But the competitive side of me and seeing how much the favorites had learned. I would play a different game. Dammit, I made it to the Final 3. I'm the last Fan standing, so yeah, I would play again."
"Survivor" returns with Season 27, Blood vs. Water, in the fall of 2013 on CBS.
