'Survivor' editors strike could delay Season 29 premiereAdd to Favorites | Survivor
Editors working on the show walked off the job Tuesday after the Motion Pictures Editors Guild notified the "Survivor" production that they wanted a union contract to no response.
According to Deadline, approximately two dozen non-unionized editors are working on the show, and the Sept. 24 premiere episode isn't finished yet. If production is delayed by more than a few days, the episode won't be completed by the scheduled airdate and the network's schedule would have to shift.
The Guild tweeted Tuesday (Aug. 13) that the show's crew had walked off the job until the unionized con tract comes through.
