'Survivor: Nicaragua's' Holly Hoffman: 'I was going to vote for Sash'

holly-hoffman-survivor-finale.jpgThe last woman standing on "Survivor: Nicaragua" Holly Hoffman tells Zap2it about her surprise the guys didn't take her to the finals and that her vote for the money changed during the final Tribal Council.

Were you surprised the guys took Sash to the final three over you? Chase said it was because Fabio wanted all guys to make it to the final Tribal Council and Sash was willing to do anything to make it to the end.

"I was surprised. I was trying my best to convince Chase to take me. I wasn't sure if Fabio was going to take me, but I should've communicated with Fabio earlier in the game. I kind of left him on the back burner and I shouldn't have done that. I really thought that Chase was going to vote out Sash. He had a hard time voting me out, I knew he was having a hard time with the decision."

Who did you vote for?  Did that change during the final Tribal Council?

"I actually voted for Chase. Going in, I was going to vote for Sash because when you get down to talking about a million dollars, I felt like strategically Sash played the best game. He was making alliances, talking to everybody. Fabio won the three challenges in a row, but that was luck. Chase could never really make up his mind. But then when I got to Tribal Council and I listened to Chase talk about giving $100,000 to his dad's organization and I thought wow. I also felt like I played practically the whole game with Chase. He changed my mind during the final tribal. When I wrote his name down, I said coming in here I was not going to vote for you but you stuck up for yourself and you showed your true character and that's why I felt like I needed to give him my vote."

Are you going to stay in touch with your fellow contestants?

"I really think that I'm going to stay in touch with a lot of people. I did not want to leave this game with bitterness or anger. It was about he adventure and the challenge. I've done a lot of things in my life for other people and this was just something that I wanted to do for me. In the same sense, I wasn't going out there to make friends because it's a game. It's about doing what you need to do, but I really feel like I'll stay in touch with a lot of people."

What do you think about the "Redemption Island" twist?

"I think it's huge. It's going to put a whole different twist on the game, I think it's going to be phenomenal. It's going to be fantastic to watch. Now watching the show, after you do it, you have a lot more respect for those people who do it because it's so much harder than it looks."

Any final thoughts/messages to your fans?

"I've met some great people doing this and there are some fantastic fans out there. I found out a lot about myself and I would do it again in a heartbeat."
