'Survivor: Redemption Island's' Rob Mariano: 'I want blood to be shed ... I'm gonna make him pay'
Mariano, who has come close but has never won the prize, says in a promo reel, "It's like I've been climbing this mountain for almost 10 years now and I'm not gonna quit until I get to the top."
He also has some choice words regarding Mr. Hantz.
"You want me to talk about that little hobbit? Let's go in the back room and settle this. I want blood to be shed. I'm gonna kick his a**, I'm gonna make him pay," cracks Mariano.
And it seems like this time around really might be about redemption for Boston Rob, who recently had his second daughter with wife Amber Brkich, also of "Survivor" fame.
"I've done my best every time I've played. I've played this game three times. A lot's gone wrong every time. I'm hoping this time I can make something go right," Mariano says.
What will be interesting is if they can both make it to the merge and then team up, which is something Rob said would've worked in "Heroes vs. Villains." He told us, "Had we teamed up we probably could have run the whole game."
Russell isn't talking smack about Rob, so much as he is comparing himself to LeBron James. Of course he is. Host Jeff Probst just thinks "the audience is going to love it."
"Survivor: Redemption Island" premieres Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
