'Swanderosa' estate burns down a month after CMT star Judy Swan's death
While the Swan family is still recovering from the March death of matriarch Judy Swan, the people at the center of the CMT show "Swanderosa" have another loss to deal with: their home.
The Swan's Texas mansion, known as Swanderosa, caught fire at 1 a.m. on April 3 and burned it to the ground. Firefighters fought the flames for nearly three hours, San Antonio's Kens5 reports.
"It's horrible," son Thomas Swan II says. "I mean you just can't catch a break. We're still trying to cope with that and this happens. And now neither me or my dad have anything."
Judy passed away at age 55 after a battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Dr. Thomas Swan, son Thomas and two daughters. CMT's docu-series followed the Swans as they went above and beyond to take care of the guests of their 18-acre dream home. "Swanderosa" was used as a venue for weddings and other similar events.
