Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves top CMA Awards 2013 nominees
Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves have come out on top of the list of nominees of the 47th annual CMA Awards. The pair of country singers scored six nominations apiece, putting them ahead of the likes of Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.
Swift's nominations were for Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year. The 23-year-old now has 21 CMA nominations total, and hopefully will add to her seven wins this year.
On the other end of the spectrum is Musgraves, who is a first-time nominee in 2013. Her nominations are for Female Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year and twice for Song of the Year.
Both Shelton and Lambert scored five nominations each; Lambert earned three for her solo efforts and two for her work with Pistol Annies. Trailing behind them were Florida Georgia Line and Keith Urban, both of whom landed four nominations apiece.
Hosted for the sixth time by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, the 2013 CMA Awards will be broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
