Taylor Swift: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have a 'special place in hell'
Taylor Swift does not like being the butt of anyone's jokes -- especially not Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The two women made a comment about Swift's dating habits while they were hosting the 70th Golden Globes, and it did not go over well with the young pop star.
"You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women,'" Swift tells Vanity Fair in reference to the incident.
Excuse me? Did we hear the same joke on the night of the Globes? This response seems to be a bit extreme, especially considering what Fey and Poehler actually said.
"You know what, Taylor Swift, you stay away from Michael J. Fox's son," Fey teased of the Golden Globe nominee during the awards show. "She needs some me time to learn about herself."
Seriously, that's all Fey said. Stating that she and Poehler are now damned to hell because of a joke that everyone else in the world has already made seems a bit insane -- but wait, Swift doesn't like that word. Also, Swift should check the news more often, because Fey already apologized over the comment.
"I just feel like it was just a little joke, like two of your aunts, two of your old lady aunts teasing you at the Thanksgiving table, that's all it was," she told Perez Hilton at the SAG Awards. When asked if she wants Swift to write a song about her now, Fey answered, "I hope so. I would love it!" That definitely would have been preferable to this response.
