On Monday, Dec. 13, Taylor Swift will legally be able to go to concerts with her friends.
Well, that's what she's excited about anyway.
"I don't think I'm going to all of the sudden start being in love with the idea of going to a club," she tells People. "I like to dance around and have fun with my friends and we have a blast, but I've never really felt compelled to be drunk and I don't think that's terribly awful."
Taylor does intend to indulge in the occasional drink, but what she's most looking forward to are the concerts she'll be able to attend.
"It'll be cool that I'll be able to go to a lot of concerts that my friends always go to and I sit at home because it's 21 and over," the country crooner explains.
As for celebrating the big day, she plans to ring in her 21st year with a holiday-themed bash.
"I definitely want a winter-themed birthday -- Christmas-themed," she says. "And I'd really like to have it in my condo. I think that would be wonderful."
There seem to be at least two things wrong with that statement. First of all, don't kids born near Christmas try desperately to separate the celebration of their birth from the red and green-themed holiday? Secondly, who wants to host their own birthday party and have to deal with not only the preparations, but the mess afterward? On the other hand, she can probably hire people to take care of all that. So never mind.
No word on whether Jake Gyllenhaal will be in attendance, but we're sure his new lady friend's special day won't go forgotten.
