There's not much fashion pressure at the Teen Choice Awards, and thus a good number of the stars walking the 2014 red carpet sported some disappointing outfits.
Hailee Steinfeld, who is typically a highlight of awards shows, wore a dowdy, long-sleeved lace number that made her look far older than her 17 years. We'll blame her flat hair on the Los Angeles heat.
Chloe Moretz also aged herself up from her 17 years, but in a much more risque manner. She wore a barely-there bandeau that showed off way too much skin and the accompanying jacket didn't do much for her, though at least she probably stayed cool.
"Shake It Up's" Bella Thorne's plunging neckline was not flattering, though we were fans of the floral blue dress's skirt. Meanwhile, both "Pretty Little Liars'" Sasha Pieterse and "American Idol's" Katie Stevens wore ill-fitting short dresses that didn't do much for their shapes. You've got hot bodies, so don't hide them under frumpy frocks!
But no one wore a more ill-fitting outfit than Hilary Duff. The two-part look featured a skirt that was too long, a top that was too high and pockets that just wouldn't stay flat. Hilary, you're better than this.
Of all the terrible outfits of the night, though, it was "The Hunger Games" star Willow Shields who disappointed the most. A poorly-sized blue top covered in oversized and cheap-looking gems ruined her entire look, as those patterned pants could have worked with a more subdued blouse, but here just looks like a mess. Better luck next time.
