'Teen Mom 2': MTV considers shutting down the series - report
Sources tell the New York Post that MTV is planning to shut down production of the show. A fourth season of the series has finished filming and will likely air later this year.
MTV hasn't commented, but the Post's sources suggest the decision is motivated in part by the behavior of one of the show's stars, Jenelle Evans. Since the show began, she's been arrested seven times and forced to relinquish custody of her son, Jace, to her mother. She's also been through an up-and-down relationship with her husband of not quite two months, Courtland Rogers, tweeting last week that she was seeking a divorce.
In the same Twitter salvo against Rogers, Evans also said she might be having a miscarriage, and it appeared she was posting details of her pregnancy ending over the next couple of days.
The original "Teen Mom" ended in October. The current season of "Teen Mom 2" wraps up in February; there's no word yet on a premiere date for Season 4.
