'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans enters rehab, Courtland Rogers arrested for beating her before miscarriage
At the same time, Rogers sits in a Brunswick County jail, facing multiple charges of assault related to more than one incident with Evans, who was pregnant at the time of one of the alleged attacks.
Evans suffered a first-trimester miscarriage earlier this year and arrest warrants in North Carolina reveal details of physical abuse by Rogers during the pregnancy. In an alleged altercation on Jan. 21, 2013 -- just days before the miscarriage -- a warrant states Rogers "did commit battery on a pregnant woman."
Another warrant describes a Nov. 17, 2012 incident. The police affidavit states that Rogers "unlawfully and willfully did assault and strike Jenelle Rogers, a female person, by picking her up throwing her against the wall, bashing her head on the wall, punching in her head, back, stomach and legs."
Around six weeks after that alleged assault, Rogers and Evans took their relationship problems to Twitter, announcing a short-lived split. At the time, Rogers wrote, "jenelle said she was gonna make up charges saying I beat her and i never did so that just made me say f**** jenelle for good."
Rogers took the time to tweet on his way to jail (March 5), "they.got me...brunswick.coybty jail i am.on my way...write me ...sorry i got caught"
Jennelle also tweeted, presumably on her way to rehab, a message to her three-year-old son: "This is for u jace, no one else. If anyone deserves this u do. Love u so much buddy. :'( bye everyone."
Evans has had her share of run-ins with the police, facing arrest twice in one week in early 2012 on allegations related to harassment of an ex-roommate. She was on probation at the time for unrelated charges from 2010 of breaking an entering and drug possession. In 2011, Evans was arrested for assault after an altercation with another female was captured on video.
