First of all, MTV has finally announced a premiere date for the highly anticipated Season 3: Mark your calendars for June 3 at 10 p.m. EST. MTV is splitting the super-sized third season into two parts, with the first half to air this summer.

In Beacon Hills time, four months will have passed since we last saw the wolfpack -- expect some big changes, including the fact that Jackson (Colton Haynes) has moved out of town, Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) has a new coif, and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) has a new bachelor pad.

Speaking of Derek -- we'll be delving further into his backstory this season in flashbacks to his childhood. E! reports that Ian Nelson, who played a nameless young tribute in "The Hunger Games," has been cast as a 15-year-old Derek Hale. Before disaster struck his family, Derek was popular, happy, and good at sports -- nothing like the broody, angsty, growly guy we know today.

In that same episode, 308, we'll meet Derek's Alpha mother Talia, and his doomed sister, Laura.

We can practically hear the Tumblr fans wailing about their "feels" already.
