"Teen Wolf" Season 4 is going to be missing a lot of familiar faces when it returns in the summer of 2014. The newest deserter? Daniel Sharman, the actor behind Isaac Leahy, is leaving the show.

"Isaac is not returning next season. That's going to be a big surprise for a lot of people," executive producer Jeff Davis tells E! Online. Unlike the recently deceased Allison Argent, however, Isaac will not die as his exit.

Instead, Isaac will accompany Chris Argent (JR Bourne) to France at the beginning of the season. Argent will return, and Isaac will not. But don't worry -- he isn't dead.

"He specifically asked that we not kill off Isaac, so that he could have the chance to return," Davis explains. "He said he loved the role so much that he wanted to be able to come back if there was a chance."

Does that mean that "Teen Wolf" fans will see their beloved Isaac again in the future? Probably: "He specifically asked not to be killed off, so that he could come back someday," Davis says. "Whether it's the fourth season or later, I would say there's a good possibility of it."

In leaving, Sharman joins Crystal Reed (Allison) and Charlie and Max Carver (twins Aiden and Ethan). Reed's character was shockingly killed off in the penultimate episode of Season 3. The character of Aiden died as well, leaving twin brother Ethan to leave town in the wake of that death.

"Teen Wolf" Season 4 premieres Monday, June 23 on MTV.
