The character posters have been unlocked, meaning Paramount Pictures has released a brand new trailer for the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie. It also happens to be the best teaser or trailer yet for the movie.

The turtles play a central role in the two-and-a-half minute clip, with their personalities getting a chance to shine. You hear Raphael being menacing, Michaelangelo making jokes and Leonardo keeping them in line. All that's missing it a little screen time for Donatello.

The trailer also explains what the movie is doing with Shredder. There was a still from the trailer recently that looked like a new version of the traditional Shredder armor. In the new footage, Eric Sachs (William Fichtner) takes possession of the armor and massively upgrades it. Now blades shoot off of him, slicing through the air. It definitely makes him an even more formidable opponent than before.

Fans will also see the person he takes the armor from, though it's unclear who that character is. Perhaps it's Oroku Saki, in a nod to the classic Shredder.

Of course, there's also fun in the trailer. Michaelangelo does some skateboarding, Will Arnett and Whoopi Goldberg pop up and Raphael does a mean Batman impression.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is in theaters Aug. 8.
