"I'm beyond thrilled to be joining 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' and the Disney-ABC family," he says in a release. "'Millionaire' is such a beloved franchise and I can't wait to get started as the new host." Crews will debut as host in the fall.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Terry Crews is set to host "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" when Cedric the Entertainer leaves after the current season, according to a report from Deadline.

Crews apparently reached an agreement to host last week with a finalized deal not yet done. As for Cedric, he announced on Wednesday (April 30) that he would be stepping down from the program after one season. The comedian cited a busy schedule and because the show was moving production to Connecticut.

If Crews does become the new host, he will do so in addition to co-starring on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" -- recently renewed for a second season on FOX -- and appearing in movies, including the "Expendables" films.
