'The 100' Season 2 casts Raymond J. Barry in major villainous role

The CW's newest hit show just cast the leader of the Mountain Men that arrived at the end of Season 1. "Justified" actor Raymond J. Barry has landed the recurring role of Dante Wallace, Deadline reports.

Dante is "a passionate painter" and leader of the military group that captured the 100, and he will be one of the first people that Clarke comes face-to-face with inside Mount Weather (at the end of the Season 1 finale, Clarke woke up from her drug-induced stupor to find herself quarantined and locked inside her own, high-tech, sterile room in the bunker, with Monty locked in his own room across the hall).

Dante is ruthlessly motivated to insure the survival of his people and wants them to "reclaim their rightful place on the surface of the Earth."

Here's the bad news for Clarke and co. -- the 100 are directly in the way of Dante accomplishing what he wants to do.

"The 100" Season 2 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
