Will Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone reunite on the big screen after the release of their new movie, "The Amazing Spider-Man"?
"We're going to make another Spider-Man I think!" Stone comments to Zap2It at the red carpet premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday (June 28), dressed in a knee-length Chanel dress and heels.
Though nothing official has been confirmed, the Hollywood Reporter reported Wednesday (June 27) that Sony was, indeed, planning a sequel to the movie, and Garfield has also expressed interest in participating in the reprise.
Both actors were out to promote their current project, which hits theaters July 3, along with co-stars Sally Field, Martin Sheen and Rhys Ifans.
Stone said she was particularly impressed with the 3-D technology used to create the blockbuster.
"It's unbelievable, no matter where you look, Spider-Man is there," says the 23-year-old, a lifelong fan of superhero movies. "That whole fight sequence at the end is stunning. It's just beautiful to see New York City in that way."
According to director Marc Webb, one of the many unique elements to the new edition of the comic story is a focus on Stone's character, Gwen Stacy.
"There's a lot of Spider-Man mythology that hasn't been explored," observes the director. "The Gwen Stacy saga is [one of] the most famous, controversial things in comics. Then there's the Lizard, which is a wonderful adversary and I like the idea of Peter Parker standing in New York City vetting him."
