"The Americans" star Matthew Rhys displayed an amazing talent when on "Today" on Wednesday (April 30): He recited the opening monologue from "The A-Team" in-sync with Al Roker.

Why did something like this happen in the first place? The topic came up when the "Today" hosts wanted to know about how Rhys -- who is actually Welsh -- perfected his American accent. Like so many people around the world, the answer is television. Specifically, Rhys was a huge fan of "Starsky & Hutch," but "The A-Team" appears to have been another favored choice.

Roker obviously likes that one too. With virtually no prompting, the two men launched into a fast, perfect rendition of the "A-Team" monologue. No one is going to wrongfully accuse these men of not being fans.

"The Americans" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
