While the audience might not have flocked to see 2011's bird-watching comedy "The Big Year" in theaters (sorry, we had to), you still have a chance to catch the film, which stars comedy greats Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson, when it comes out on DVD and Blu-ray Jan. 31.

The trio play a group of competitive bird-watchers dealing with various life issues (mid-life crisis, work troubles and the like) who undertake a "big year" -- they compete against one another to see who can spot the most species of birds in North America in one year.

The DVD and Blu-ray from Twentieth Century Fox Home Video come with fun extra features like 40 minutes of deleted scenes, a gag reel and a featurette on the joys of filming on location in the Yukon, just south of the Arctic Circle.

As you'll see in Zap2it's exclusive clip from the featurette, since it doesn't really get dark at night part of the year in the Yukon, Wilson was able to start his golf games at some very unusual hours of the day (or night).
