'The Biggest Loser': Jillian Michaels wants out, concerned about the direction of the show: Report

jillian-michaels-getty-biggest-loser.jpgIn the wake of the Rachel Frederickson controversy on "The Biggest Loser," where eventual winner Frederickson showed up at the live finale looking very thin and having lost nearly 60 percent of her original weight, it sounds like one of the trainers may be ready to be done with the show.

A source tells People that Jillian Michaels is "deeply concerned about the direction the show has been taking" and is "turned off by the mean-spirited storylines and poor care of the contestants."

The source says that Michaels wants to distance herself from the show because there isn't proper attention paid to the contestants' health or wellness.

Michaels briefly left the show twice already. She was not a trainer for the third season, then returned, then left for Seasons 12 and 13 and came back from Seasons 14 and 15. The source says the show asked her back to boost the ratings but "the Rachel thing shook her up."

The source adds that Michaels is tired of being portrayed as the "bad guy." "She's not the negative person they portray her as. She wants to be in a place where she has more respect," says the source.

People says reps for the trainer and the show declined to comment.
