'Biggest Loser's' Alison Sweeney: A clumsy moment with Carmen Electra and 20 other confessions

Alison-3.jpgAlison Sweeney must be on top of the world. At 34, she has successfully balanced her daytime gig on the NBC soap, "Days of Our Lives," and she just waved farewell to another hit season of "The Biggest Loser." So, what's next?

Sweeney has turned her attention to another weighty problem as a spokesperson for the Hill's Science Diet Weight Loss System for pets. And she'll be sharing the fit tips she has accrued over the years with other moms like herself in a new book, "The Mommy Diet," which will be available Dec. 28.

So, while she's in the mood for sharing secrets, Sweeney agreed to share some personal 411 for Zap2it's Celeb Slam Book.

Find out how Carmen Electra took part in one of Sweeney's most embarrassing moments plus 20 more confessions from the busy mom:

1.) Tell us one thing we don't know about you.
Lots of people don't know that I speak Spanish fluently. I grew up speaking Spanish. I love traveling to Mexico - it's so beautiful, and it's fun to go to the really local hangouts and surprise people that I can communicate with them. I catch people off-guard with it. It's fun!

2.) If you could change one thing about your face, what would it be and why?
I've needed glasses since the sixth grade. And it's really annoying. If I could change one thing, I would give myself 20/20 vision (p.s. I can't have laser surgery - long story).

3.) Who was the first boy you kissed?
The first time I ever kissed a boy was on TV. I was on a show called 'I Married Dora' (with the soon to become famous Juliette Lewis) and I played the friend and little league teammate of the main boy. We had to kiss in the last scene of the episode and I was totally nervous and embarrassed - I mean, my grandparents were there!

4.) Have you ever spread a rumor about somebody?
Does that mean it had to be untrue? Or that I spread it, not knowing if it was true or not? I tend to be a 'going straight to the source' kind of person so when I hear something about someone I know, I usually ask them whether it's true or not.

5.) What's your deepest fear?
I don't even remember how I would have answered this question before I had kids. But now, my highest aspirations and deepest fears are all about my children. I want all their dreams to come true, and my greatest fear would be something happening to one of my children.

6.) Describe your daily routine.
Ha. There is nothing 'routine' about my day. Every day is fun and different. Often, I go to 'Days of Our Lives' at 6:15 a.m., and shoot an episode or two before 11 a.m. (they adjust my schedule to accommodate 'The Biggest Loser'). I try to squeeze in a quick workout and then I head over to the ranch and shoot a pop challenge or the weigh-in or something. Some days I only shoot one show or the other and then I have a little more free time to take my kids to school and work out and get errands done. No matter how tough my schedule is, I always take time to make sure my entire family eats healthy and exercises, including our dog Winky.

7.) If you had to choose another career, what would it be?
Probably something like an event planner. I love hosting parties, planning the whole evening and surprising guests with an amazing dinner or special games or something. I think I'd be good at that, and it would certainly be fun.

8.) Name another celebrity you find attractive.
Ricky Gervais. Seriously, he kills me, and I think he's incredibly talented.

9.) Do you screen your phone calls? If so, whose do you always answer?
Yes, of course I screen them! I almost never answer a blocked number, unless I'm expecting the call. I always take my intimate family and friends' calls. Even if it's just to say, 'I'll call you right back, okay?'

10.) What super power would you want to have?
As I sit here in brutal LA traffic, my answer has to be that I could fly. There are so many reasons that's the perfect super power.

11.) What's your worst habit?
I say 'like' and 'you know' too much in my everyday speech. It's a lazy speech pattern, and I annoy myself with it.

12.) What's your favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink?
I appreciate great wine. I love going wine tasting, and learning about good wines. Every part of the process from growing grapes to blending is fascinating to me. I love California wines, because that's what I know, but I have so enjoyed traveling to Italy, France and Australia, too.

13.) What's your favorite thing to do in your free time?
Reading. I love to read. I read pretty fast. I like all types of books. I adore reading.

14.) Who is your best friend?
This is maybe the best part of writing a book - the acknowledgements are an opportunity to really tell the people you love how important they are to you. My best friend, Carrie, and I have known each other since she was an intern at NBC. We still work together and talk/ email/ text every few hours, never mind every day. I am very lucky to have her in my life.

15.) Tell us one of your most embarrassing moments?
Me trying to be 'super-hero-to-the-rescue' with Carmen Electra during a fashion show. When she slipped and fell, I sprinted around the corner to try and help and did a full on banana-peel cartoon crash right behind her. It was awesome.

16.) What clique did you belong to in school?
The tech-theatre crew. I didn't have a big network of friends in school. Lets face it, I was a dork.

17.) What was the last compliment someone paid you and who paid it?
After a very long day doing 'The Biggest Loser' finale, my husband made sure to let me know that he thought I'd done a great job handling the show. It was such a lovely compliment, because he was very specific about it, which made me feel special because he paid such attention to details.

18.) Which character on "The Breakfast Club" do you most identify with?
Claire, I guess. I would've loved to get sushi for lunch in high school.

19.) What do your friends make fun of you for the most?
They tease me about how hard I am on myself. I nitpick every little mistake I make, and sometimes it's about the silliest smallest details.

20.) What's your favorite song to sing in the car?
"Soak Up The Sun" by Sheryl Crow. I totally rock out that song with the windows down. Love it!

21.) What's your guilty pleasure?
Home-baked goods. I love baking, the whole process (and sneaking tastes of dough) but it's always hard to turn down fresh home-baked treats from friends. So I try to minimize, just have a bite or split it with someone.
