'The Blacklist' premiere: Watch the first minutes of the new James Spader show now
"The Blacklist," starring James Spader, is one of the better pilots coming to network television this fall. It will not air until Monday (Sept. 23), but you can watch the first two minutes right now.
In the show, Spader stars as Raymond "Red" Reddington, an FBI most-wanted fugitive who surrenders himself to the authorities in order to help them catch the worst criminals in the world. There's just one catch -- Red will only work with one agent, a rookie named Elizabeth Keen ( Megan Boone).
The first minutes of "The Blacklist" focus on Spader's arrival at the FBI. He obviously has the whole thing planned in meticulous fashion, seeing as how Red removes his hat and drops his bag in anticipation of all those guns. Why does he come back at all? That's one of the central questions of the overall show.
Once the opening scene ends, the video shows additional footage from the rest of the episode, showing the high stakes in which Red involves Liz and the rest of the FBI.
"The Blacklist" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
