High school prom is a rite of passage all teens go through, whether they attend the big dance or not. Everyone goes through the process of deciding if they'll go, who they'll go with, what they'll wear, etc. And if you're fledgling fashionista Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb), what you'll wear is the top priority, even if your relationship hits a speed bump right before the big day.

Executive producer Amy B. Harris knows that the fashion showcased in "The Carrie Diaries" prom episode, "This Is the Time," should be at the top of its game. "As [costume designer] Eric [Daman] called it, there's definitely fashion porn in the episode," Harris tells Zap2it. "We really give the wardrobe its due. There's beautiful shots of the kids entering prom that really shows it off."

So what can we expect to see Carrie rocking on her prom night? "What I love so much about what they did is they found this wonderful vintage dress for Carrie," Harris says. "The colors are spectacular that they put each of the women in. It doesn't disappoint. I'm very excited about the prom and all the fashion that comes with that."

Of course, Carrie's going to have a lot on her mind when prom night finally arrives, since her boyfriend Sebastian (Austin Butler) might not be staying in NYC thanks to his booming business idea of surf and skateboarding fashion -- which she never expected to take off like it has.

"I think that's been the fun for us in thinking what if Sebastian could suddenly make something of himself?" Harris says. "Suddenly this kid who seems like a little bit of a screw-up when we first met him actually has the potential to become a mogul of sorts. The challenges that are going to come for him are whether or not he can stay in New York and pursue this California dream."

But the episode won't just be focused on Carrie and Sebastian's relationship woes. Nope: Donna LaDonna (Chloe Bridges) is also going to be front and center, though not necessarily in the way she likes.

"In the prom episode, Donna has her own, pretty nice and big and juicy story line," Harris teases. "Prom is always about traditions whether or not you mock them or celebrate them. What I love about our group is that they can turn traditions on their head and make them their own. Their prom will definitely be a version that's for them as opposed to a purely traditional one."

"The Carrie Diaries" airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
